Laying the Foundation

Summer is here and the countdown is on!  Our students can't wait to be in a building that is all their own, designed with them in mind - a place to hang out, connect with friends, and worship God.  The foundation of the new student ministry building is becoming more and more visible each day.  Just like this building, we want our students to have firm foundations, built on the Word of God.  As you walk past the construction site from week to week on your way into church, take time to pray for our students to have a firm spiritual foundation to build their lives upon.

He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.  Luke 6:48

Taking Shape

EMJ has been working on the student ministry building's foundation this week, and you can see the outline starting to take shape!  Weather-permitting, the concrete slab will be poured next week.  Keep this project and the students who will use this future building in your prayers this weekend.

Construction Continues...

Construction continues this week on the site for our new student ministry building. As the construction crew and dozers work, you can start to imagine where and how the student ministry will be situated across the creek from our sanctuary.  Take a peek when you come to church this Sunday!

NEW Student Ministry Building COMING SOON!

Site prep has begun for our new student ministry building!  This building, designed specially for ministry to students in 6th grade through college, will be located across the creek from our main sanctuary.  We ask for your patience and flexibility as parking spaces and access between parking lots will be limited during construction.  We apologize for the inconvenience but assure you it will be worth it!!  Check back soon for more pictures and updates.

Praise and Thanks

We have been in our newly-renovated sanctuary now for about six months and are so thankful for the extra space God has provided for us through the renovation.  We now have an additional 540 seats in the sanctuary which provides room for more than 1,000 people between our two Sunday morning services.  Our new baptistry has already seen a lot of use, and we are thrilled to have witnessed 48 baptisms since November.  Thank you to each of you for your flexibility during construction.  We appreciate your willingness to worship in the gyms and SMC and to adjust where you parked and entered the building from week to week.  Thank you for showing your support by continuing to attend regularly, pray consistently, and give financially.  We look forward to seeing how God will use our people and facilities to impact our community for His kingdom.
